Award winning guitarist, Giorgio Serci combines a strong classical technique with the rhythmic and harmonic palette and feel of a modern jazz guitarist. He is a really sought after guitarist, educator, composer and arranger.
He has worked with David Garrett, Basia, Sylvain Luc, Martin Taylor, Bill Bruford, Paolo Fresu, Antonio Forcione, Harvie S, Oli Rockberger, and the BBC Concert Orchestra amongst others.
As an educator he is a Senior Lecturer of Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford and in London, Visiting Professor at Guildhall School of Music and Drama and Professor of Jazz at the Royal Holloway University of London.
As a composer and arranger, his works have been performed and recorded by the likes of Basia, Antonio Forcione, Simon Davies, Nigel Kennedy, Keld Strings Ensemble and Bansangu Orchestra, which he co-founded with Steve Winwood’s saxophonist extraordinaire, Paul Booth.
He is a regular contributor for ‘Guitarist Interactive’ with his ‘Creative Fingerstyle’ column and Lick Library with ‘Acoustic Colours’.
