Paul Nelson began his recording career with the ground breaking group Liege Lord gaining national attention as their lead guitarist and song writer on "Burn to my Touch" and "Master Control on Metal Blade records. A hired gun with countless worldwide touring acts Nelson is credited as composer and performer for the music heard on international and national television broadcasts such as NBC, TNN, UPN, for the WWE.
Nelson, who studied with Steve Vai and both fusion greats Steve Khan and Mike Stern, released his first highly acclaimed all instrumental rock/fusion solo release, "Look" in early 2000. He then went on to appear on “Warmth in the Wilderness” – a Tribute to Jason Becker – 2001 Lion Records, “Beyond Inspiration”: Tribute to Uli Jon Roth – 2003 Lion Records, guitarist and songwriter on Rock/Blues legend Johnny Winter's Grammy nominated "I'm A Bluesman" Virgin/EMI 2004 Halifax's "Anthem for Tonight" Inevitability of a Strange World – Drive Thru Records featured on XBox 360's "Prey" voted Top 10 Video Game of the Year by Time Magazine – 2006, Tribute to Uriah Heep (a return to Fantasy) – Century, Media 2008 Johnny Winter "Live from Japan" DVD, MVD -2010 and “Blues Conspiracy” – Stony Plain records 2012. A current member of Winter's worldwide touring band Nelson would go on to perform on and produce Winter's "Roots" CD in 2011 performing with Winter on CBS's "Late Night with David Letterman" show in 2012 and is currently working on "Roots ll " in 2013 for Megaforce/Sony.
